Inclement Weather Makeup Session: Saturday May 11, 10- 11:30am

Learning about plants and their properties can be overwhelming. But when we slow down, engage all of our senses, and work with one plant at a time, the world of plant magic opens easily. During each class session, we will meet one or two plants in abundance during that particular week. We will sit with the plants, draw them, create plant monographs, and discuss how people have worked with the plants through time, including medicinal and nutritional value. Some plants we may meet include chickweed, deadnettle, speedwell, violet, cleavers, fleabane, henbit, and others. We will see who is popping up each week. These class sessions will be held outdoors, at rotating locations in the Donelson/Hermitage area. Class locations will vary depending on who is growing where but will include various parks and greenways. In the case of inclement weather (ice, or active thunderstorms) class will be cancelled for that day, and a makeup day will be offered.
